Waste Management has announced a new board chairman to replace Bob Reum, who died last month. The company said this week that Bradbury Anderson, a former Best Buy vice chairman and CEO, will lead the board of directors. He joined Waste Management’s board in 2011.

“Over my more than five years on the board, I’ve seen this extraordinary company evolve, grow and execute extremely well on its strategy, and I’m excited to work with our strong board and management team to continue to deliver on our strategy,” Anderson said in a statement. Devina Rankin, acting chief financial officer, was appointed to senior vice president, CFO and treasurer.

Rankin joined the company in 2002 and held a variety of corporate finance positions. “I look forward to leading a team of tremendously talented individuals, and to being a part of a senior leadership team that is committed to ensuring Waste Management continues to be such a uniquely special place to work and to delivering the growth our shareholders expect,” Rankin said in a statement.
