A crew of Drivers in Waste Pro’s Charlotte South Division, located in Monroe, NC, came together to nominate one of their own with a Franklin Award of $100. Waste Pro’s Founder, John Jennings, initiated the Franklin Awards 20 years ago as a way to reward our Waste Pros for simply doing things right and going the extra mile with regards to safety and service in our communities.

Last week, the group of drivers approached Division Manager Ted Goode and expressed their appreciation for mechanic Zach Rogers. They told Goode that Rogers always has a positive attitude, fixes things correctly the first time, and takes good care of them.

During a safety meeting on July 8, the drivers came together to “show some love” to Rogers and personally handed him the $100 bill. “We’ve recognized loads of employees with our coveted Franklin Award, but this is the first time our employees have stepped up, out of their own pockets, to honor one of their own,” Goode said. “It should be known there is a belief in the ‘Waste Pro Way’. This internal philosophy focusing on community, safety, and service is contagious. It is truly amazing to see and I am very proud to work with this great group of waste professionals.”
