Waste Pro’s J.D. Parker & Sons (JDP) team celebrated a big milestone in Sanford, FL at the Waste Pro garbage truck museum: Three employees of JDP, which joined the Waste Pro family three years ago, were awarded their first $10,000 and $5,000 safety awards. To celebrate their accomplishments, Waste Pro Founder and Chairman John Jennings gave them a tour of the company’s Garbage Truck Museum – the world’s only – located in Sanford, FL. In addition, Jennings joined New Port Richey Division Manager Dave Parker and Chief Operating Officer Keith Banasiak in providing a barbecue dinner on Waste Pro’s ‘Smoking Joe’ smoker.

“From day one, John Jennings and I saw the same entrepreneurial spirit and community-based focus in JDP that Waste Pro was founded in 20 years ago,” Banasiak said. “Strategic partnerships like what we have formed with this team have proven to be immensely important to our growth in key market areas across our footprint.”

JDP Drivers Charles Holman and Anthony Smith each earned a $10,000 Award, while helper Daniel Stecker earned a $5,000 Award. Waste Pro offers $10,000 Safety Awards for drivers who go three years without an at-fault accident, injury, or property damage. A similar award of $5,000 is available for helpers.

“Safety is at the top of our mind day in and day out, and our drivers and helpers have taken that to heart. They know what they have to do to protect not only themselves, but the customers who rely on us,” Parker said. “We’re incredibly excited to have reached this milestone and look forward to seeing more drivers and helpers earn their safety awards!”
