Office Manager Dawn Murphy is known to be the glue that keeps the office together and running smoothly. Dawn began her career at Waste Pro 4 years ago and recognized the significant growth in the short period from a dozen employees to 60 Waste Pros that provide service to approximately 63,000 customers. In 2019, Dawn was searching for a new career experience when she found Waste Pro; the rest was history. She was tired of braving the winters in Wisconsin and decided to relocate to her favorite vacation spot in Tennessee. “My husband and I moved down, and I needed to get to work, so I answered an ad, thought it would be an interesting job, thankfully got hired, and I have loved it ever since!”

Dawn starts her day around 7 AM, with accounting, emails, and getting new customer service contracts started. She also works on invoicing and team management. Dawn has enjoyed watching the Division grow, knowing she is a crucial component to the growth within the market area. “Her keen attention to detail ensures the office runs as it should,” shares Mark O’Brien, Nashville Division Manager. “No two days are alike, and no two situations are, but she has found the most efficient way to do things and keeps us all on task.”

So, what is next for Dawn? She loves constantly learning new aspects of the business and assisting with the continued growth and expansion of Waste Pro and through acquisitions, maintaining top service, and always keeping best safety practices as our guiding light moving forward. “The industry is much more complex than people realize, and I continue to learn something new every day. It’s great to be part of a team that cheers you on and is committed to providing the best service in the industry.”

Dawn spends time with her personal and Waste Pro family in her spare time. You can usually find her outdoors, riding her Harley, kayaking, or traveling through the mountains.
