Allmetal Recycling is expanding through the purchase of the Wichita operations of S.O.S. Metals and its processing facility, which is at 9800 W. York.
“The addition of this operation and its staff are a great fit for our company,” Allmetal co-owner Clint Cornejo said in a statement.
He said the purchase “will strengthen our position in the aerospace alloy market, with the added volume benefiting our entire customer base.”
Allmetal, which is headquartered at 800 E. 21st St., offers a variety of recycling, certified destruction, dismantling and industrial asset liquidation services. It also has used and new steel products.
No one with S.O.S. could be reached for comment, but an Allmetal news release said the company specializes in recycling aluminum, titanium and other metal aerospace products.
“The additional line of processing equipment, along with our design capabilities and field service technicians provide our customers a full service provider for their metal and alloy recycling needs,” Cornejo said in the release.
