In support of New Hampshire’s biomass industry, CBI partnered with the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association to host a community dialogue on overriding the vetoes of Senate Bills 365 and 446 earlier today. The bills, which passed both houses of the legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support, will both help support biomass and other renewable energy in the Granite State and thus the market for woodchips, which landowners and loggers depend on to practice sustainable managed forestry. Attendees discussed the environmental and economic impact of the bills and urged legislators to override the vetoes. CBI provided a tour, presentations, and a live grinder demonstration for industry groups, various members of the logging industry, members of the New Hampshire House, State Senator Regina Birdsell, and Senator Dan Innis.
