How long have you been in the industry?: 24 years
How did you get involved? What was your first job?: BFI as a District EHS Manager

Who was your biggest influence?: My parents instilled a strong work ethic, demonstrated an example of faith and taught me the importance of service above self.

What has been your most interesting experience over the years?:
I have had a number of opportunities to witness the impact our frontline team members can have by doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason. For example, drivers rendering lifesaving care to those in need. Team members coming to the aide of their communities during hurricane Harvey. And the list goes on.

What do you see as the biggest challenges to the industry today?: Identifying the next generation of frontline safety-sensitive team members and leaders to carry the torch in the industry.

What do you like most about being in the industry/your job?: The incredible men and women that make the industry great.

Hobbies: Being the husband to the greatest woman in the world, a father to four (2 boys—31 and 20, and 2 girls—30 and 28) and a new grandfather; my hobbies revolve around them.

Last vacation: Ozark Mountains.
