Leadpoint, the leading workforce solutions provider in the waste and recycling industry, announces that Atiba Ovid has joined the company as Vice President of Finance and Accounting. In this role, Ovid will oversee general accounting, financial planning and analysis, and tax compliance for Leadpoint, reporting directly to Dan Behrendt, Leadpoint’s CFO.  “As Leadpoint continues its upward trajectory in sales and profitability, Ovid’s expertise will further enhance the company’s financial performance by optimizing its working capital and order-to-cash cycles,” shared Behrendt.

Ovid brings extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, data modeling, and business analytics. Before joining Leadpoint, he served as Corporate Controller at Rolfson Oil, where he successfully managed the finance and accounting departments for the past two years. During his tenure, Ovid significantly increased free cash flow through strategic working capital enhancements focused on inventory control and accounts receivable optimization strategies. He also played a pivotal role in growing the company’s revenue by over 300% through meticulous strategic planning, ensuring compliance with key controls, and oversight of financial audits.

His career includes serving as a Senior Financial Advisor at Ernst and Young (EY) and a Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. At EY, Ovid spearheaded the implementation and training of its Financial Management System (Mercury). Additionally, he gained international oil and gas accounting and auditing experience while working for the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago.

Ovid holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Accountancy from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Ovid will be based at Leadpoint’s corporate headquarters in Phoenix, further strengthening the company’s finance and accounting leadership team.
