Peterbilt Technician Institute (PTI) announces the start of the inaugural service technician class at its Nashville, TN campus. Students will complete 12-weeks of an accelerated service technician training program that will launch them into careers as certified Peterbilt Service technicians.

A partnership between PTI and Lincoln Tech was established earlier this year to enhance and expand service technician training opportunities geographically. The PTI curriculum provides graduates of Lincoln Tech’s Auto, Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology programs advanced training on systems ranging from fuel and electrical to HVAC, suspensions and brakes. Students are exposed to a three-part learning approach that includes hands-on training to build experience and working knowledge of Peterbilt trucks, a classroom session approach to build teamwork and communication skills and a web-based skill-building activities approach to incorporate technology into learning.

Upon completion of the advanced program, students will earn factory-trained technician credentials which can fast-track them to careers at more than 425 Peterbilt dealerships across the US and Canada. “The success of this inaugural class demonstrates the convenience and optimal accessibility of this new location for our prospective students,” said Danny Landholm, Peterbilt director of dealer network development. “More than 1,000 Peterbilt certified service technicians have graduated from the PTI Chicago and Dallas-Fort Worth locations. The Nashville location will accelerate the pace of highly qualified service technicians entering the dealer network to maximize uptime for our customers.”
