Lakeshore Recycling Systems has been awarded two new municipal contract awards with the cities of St. Charles and Geneva. Services for four-year residential contracts in both cities began July 1. St. Charles and Geneva represent the fourth municipal contract award in 2018. They are currently the exclusive hauler for nearly 220,000 households in greater Chicago and northern Illinois.
“The City of St. Charles recognized how much LRS has done for the other municipalities and we believe our residents would benefit considerably. Sustainability is of great importance to residents and businesses in St. Charles, and to know LRS does not own a landfill and diverts as much waste as possible from landfills was a big part of our decision to switch,” said Tim Wilson, Public Works Manager, Environmental Services. “We are happy to be a part of LRS’ growth and one of their newest municipalities.”
